Giovanni Pinarello was born in Catena di Villorba, Italy in 1922. He was the eighth of 12 brothers. At the age of fifteen, Giovanni began making bicycles at the factory of Paglianti. After a successful amateur career he turned professional in 1947. After his carrer, in 1952 he founded Cicli Pinarello S.p.A. in Treviso, Italy.
The ”Treviso” was a landmark model for Pinarello, their top model in early/mid 1980s and basically the frame with which Pinarello started to dominate on cycling races around the globe. In early/mid 1980s Treviso SL achieved many important victories.
The superb frameset is made of high end Columbus SL butted tubing with Pinarello’s special designed bottom bracket. It’s easy to detect beautiful ”GP” engravings on the top of the fork crown and seat stay, Pinarello logo appeared in many locations like lugs and bottom bracket and rear brake bridge. Famous Pinarello head badge on headtube makes it looking perfectly.
Proudly presenting another Italian steel racing machine – Pinarello Treviso, which dates back to 1984, build with Campagnolo Super Record groupset with Pinarello pantograph stem, seatpost, shifters, chainring and Pinarello marked Nisi rims and bard end plugs.
