PINARELLO Special, Campagnolo Super Record 1st gen, 52.5cm (1977-78) – SOLD

Giovanni Pinarello was born in Catena di Villorba, Italy in 1922. He was the eighth of 12 brothers. At the age of fifteen, Giovanni began making bicycles at the factory of Paglianti. After a successful amateur career he turned professional in 1947. After his carrer, in 1952 he founded Cicli Pinarello S.p.A. in Treviso, Italy.

The Pinarello Super Record Special is for sure one of the best racing machine which ever left Giovanni Pinarello’s factory in Treviso, Italy. The  ”Special” was their top model in late 1970s till early 1980s  (when the Treviso was launched) and basically the  frame with which Pinarello started to dominate on cycling races around the globe.

Happy to present another iconic Italian racing machine – Pinarello Super Record Special. Completely chromed frameset is made of lightweight Columbus SL tubes and is easily recognisable by ”GPT” (Giovanni Pinarello) engravings and famous Pinarello head badge on head tube. Amazing blue metalic paint job fits perfectly for this beauty and only top of the line components are good enough: Campagnolo Super Record 1st generation groupset (Pat.77), Cinelli stem and handlebar, Cinelli Unicanitor saddle, NiSi ’77 rims. No much words needed.

Great catch for all Pinarello lovers. Ready for L’Eroica ride.
