HEPP TEK Time Trial 26″/28″ custom made bike of Chris Carlson (Team EDS 1995) – SOLD

Chris Carlson is a US cyclist who won a number of state championships on the track and road time time trial competitions.

Martin Hepp of HEPP TEK Carbon company (based in Oklahoma City, USA),  built a fully custom made bicycle for Chris Carlson in 1995. Carlson helped with design as well. The not only copied LOTUS 110 which was known as the fastest bike back then, they even improved the aerodynamics. Special innovations of the bike were: custom made handlebar and hand paddles made of one piece, wide fork, cantilever front brake,  hidden rear brake, custom made saddle integrated to the frame. 

Some bikes are objects of beauty, some are unique concepts and others are prized antiques. This HEPP bike is all of these – its sleek, curved silhouette is a reminder of a time in cycling when science, automotive engineering and the pinnacle of the sport collided.
