Ernesto Colnago was born on February 9, 1932 in Cambiago, near Milan, Italy. At age 13 he entered in world of two wheels and immediately he fall in love with bikes and cycling. In 1952 he founded Colnago and started to work as mechanic for several professional teams. Colnago’s bikes still have a domination of the world’s cycling sports because Ernesto was always an innovator and pioneer of new technologies which supposedly provide more efficency or comfort.

He also started a collaboration with another privileged Italian brand – Ferrari. Ferrari Engineering helped Ernesto to implement carbon fibre into a bicycle frame design. The first attempts resulted into an introduction of the “Concept” at the 1986 Milano bike show. The prototype was a mad and truly captivating technical exercise, but more importantly it started the whole saga of Colnago carbon fibre frames, of which the latest issue we have seen in this years Tour de France.

The “Concept” was followed by another carbon fibre creations like Volo, Carbitubo, C35 or the ultra-successful C40. In 2001 they introduced another collaboration project presented as “Colnago for Ferrari” called CF1. In 2005 they released COLNAGO Ferrari CF4.

Here we are proudly presenting another masterpiece by great Ernesto – the Colnago Ferrari CF4, which dates back to 2005. Especially designed full carbon frameset, shinning in beautiful Ferrari red/black paint-job, build with Campagnolo Record Titanium 10s groupset, Cinelli Ram integrated stem and handlebar, Campagnolo Nucleon wheels. Very good condition.

A legend! For all Colnago fans. A museum piece.
