Colnago C35 Art Decor, Campagnolo Record 10s (late 1990s) – SOLD

Ernesto Colnago was born on February 9, 1932 in Cambiago, near Milan, Italy. At age 13 he entered in world of two wheels and immediately he fall in love with bikes and cycling. In 1952 he founded Colnago and started to work as mechanic for several professional teams. His first big success as a frame builder dates back in 1960 when Luigi  Arienti won gold medal at the Rome Olympic games. Colnago’s bikes still have a domination of the world’s cycling sports because Ernesto was always an innovator and pioneer of new technologies which supposedly provide more efficency or comfort. Colnago has always been one of the most innovative manufactures of all time.

The COLNAGO C35 was a a collaborative project with Ferrari and commemorative model created in celebration of Colnago’s 35th anniversary in 1989. It was one of the first frames to be manufactured using a carbon fibre composite manufacured in Colnago’s factory under Ferrari’s supervision. Ernesto always launched a unique and limited model to celebrate important goals of his successful company.

The amazing shapes of the frame makes you understand that C35 was ahead of the time when it was designed back in 1989.  The frame is shinning in beautiful Art Decor paintjob and build with Campagnolo Record 10s groupset, special Colnago carbon crank, Spinergy wheels, Cinelli cockpit. No much words needed. Love at first sight.
