BIANCHI XL Titanium Reparto Corse – authentic bike of R.Forconi Team Mercatone Uno (2000) – SOLD

Bianchi’s Reparto Corse (Bianchi’s Race Department) facility hand built frames for their top riders and of course Marco Pantani was one of them riding for Mercatone Uno sponsored by Bianchi. Their top model  XL EV2 Reparto Corse is made of lightweight triple-butted alloy shaped  tubeset. Aluminum was the material of choice back then, even his biggets rival Lance Armstrong rode full carbon Trek 5500. The XL EV2 was used by Marco Pantani and his teammates: Podenzana, Astarloa, Garzelli, Veloflex, Zaina. But Marco Pantani was using also Bianchi XL Titanium because it felt stiffer. And same happened with Pantani’s teammate, Riccardo Forconi who requested to used XL Titanium bike instead of XL EV2.

Happy to present a legendary authentic racing machine used by Marco Pantani’s teammate – BIANCHI XL Titanium Reparto Corse of Riccardo Forconi (Mercatone Uno Team) which dates back to 2000. It shines in original paint, build with Campagnolo Record 10s groupset, Bianchi XL wheels, titanium seat post, Time pedals. No much words needed.
