BIANCHI Centenario Reparto Corse – authentic bike of Moreno Argentin (Team Sammontana Bianchi 1986)

Bianchi is the world’s oldest bicycle-making company still in existence, founded in 1885 by Eduardo Bianchi in Milan, Italy. No doubt, Bianchi is the pioneer of bicycle development since the beginning. They invented equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires in 1895, first bicycle ever featuring a cardan joint transmission in 1901 and front brake system in 1913.

Moreno Argentin (born 17 December 1960) is an Italian former professional cyclist (from 1981 to 1994). Born in San Donà di Piave (Veneto), Argentin won stages in the Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia, and the Tour de Suisse. Known as Il Capo (“The Boss”), he won Liège–Bastogne–Liège four times, the La Flèche Wallonne three times, and the Tour of Flanders and Giro di Lombardia once. He became Italian national champion in 1983 and 1989. In 1986, Argentin rode for Sammontana Bianchi Team. After a strong start of the season he won one of the hardest one day races, Liege-Bastogne-Liege ’86. Later in September he won 1986 World Championships in Colorado Springs, USA, which is biggest success in his career.
