BIANCHI Centenario 100th Anniversary Limited Edition (serial no.416), 56cm (1985) – SOLD

Bianchi is the world’s oldest bicycle-making company still in existence, founded in 1885 by Eduardo Bianchi in Milan, Italy. No doubt, Bianchi is the pioneer of bicycle development since the beginning. They invented equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires in 1895, first bicycle ever featuring a cardan joint transmission in 1901 and front brake system in 1913.

In 1985 the ‘celeste company‘ wanted to celebrate their 100th anniversary with a very special bike. They made a work of art called Bianchi Centenario. The frame was developed from the iconic Bianchi Specialissima X3, same Columbus SLX tubing but this time a special unique cromovelato paintwork and absolutely amazing build with every single part dedicated their 100th anniversary (Centenario), even the saddle, the tubulars and rims are marked with Bianchi Centenario.

Some people says the Bianchi Centenario is the most perfect steel bike ever produced. For the dedicated vintage bike collector, the Bianchi Centenario is very high on the list of must have. Limited edition of 1500 bikes was made back in 1985, all bikes came a special Bianchi ID card, a Bianchi Centenario jersey, a bike bag and air pump with Almarc leather part.

Here we are proudly offering one of the most collectible bikes ever – Bianchi Centenario 100th Anniversary 1985. Extraordinary frameset is made of Columbus SLX tubing, built with full pantograph Campagnolo C Record 1st generation groupset, iconic Campagnolo Cobalto brakes, 3ttt Bianchi aero cockpit, Vittoria Bianchi Centanerio tubulars, Selle Italia Turbo Centenario saddle, even the Campagnolo pedal leather straps are in Bianchi color. The bike is in completely original condition with all documents and dedicated parts. The bike was bought in 1986 at the Bianchi factory near Milan (original bill is included). No much words needed.

A dream for every vintage bike collector. Highly collectible. All original.
