Bianchi is the world’s oldest bicycle-making company still in existence, founded in 1885 by Eduardo Bianchi in Milan, Italy. No doubt, Bianchi is the pioneer of bicycle development since the beginning. They invented equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires in 1895, first bicycle ever featuring a cardan joint transmission in 1901 and front brake system in 1913.
C4 was founded in 1986 in order to create and build carbon fiber projects by engineer Marco Bonfanti. Bonfanti was the first frame builder using NJC – No Joint Construction, which enables the building of hollow structures without joints: The first Monocoque Frame. In 1987 , a few top Bianchi riders rode the time trial on bikes designed and built by C4. These were a world preview of special features such as full cable integration and the monocoque carbon technique. In the year 1994 C4 was the primary sponsor of the professional cycling Team Polti, with Gianni Bugno and Ivan Gotti.
Here we are proudly presenting one of the most iconic vintage time trial racing masterpieces ever. Made in collaboration of Bianchi’s Reparto Corse department and C4 back in 1986. Full carbon frameset, very advanced for it’s time, full internal cable routing, shinning in “celeste” paintjob. Built with top of the line Campagnolo C Record Cobalto groupset (new old stock condition), 3ttt stem and handlebart, Selle Italia Super Turbo saddle. Museum piece. No much words needed.
A dream for every vintage bike collector.
