TVT 92 “PINARELLO branded” – tribute bike Pedro DELGADO (Team Reynolds 1988)

The French aerospace company TVT (Technique du Verre Tissé) produced some of cycling’s first carbon fiber tubes. Their technology was utilized by various manufacturers, including LOOK and Bottechia. TVT  is responsible for some of the most successful early carbon fiber bikes in the pro peloton. Bernard Hinault, Pedro Delgado, Greg Lemond and Miguel Indurain all raced on TVT 92 bikes to victories in the Tour de France! The TVT frames were just the choice of top Grand Tour riders.

Pedro Delgado Robledo  born 15 April 1960), also known as Perico is a Spanish former professional cyclist. He won the 1988 Tour de France, as well as the Vuelta a España in 1985 and 1989. He finished in the top 10 of eighteen Grand Tours. In 1988 Team Reynolds rode Pinarello bikes, but Delgado raced with a French TVT92 carbon bike branded as Pinarello.
