Piero Serena is rather unknown small Italian bike manufacturer from Brescia in northern Italy, who lived a few km away from Visentini. His brand is affirmed in Italian cycling history as a guarantee of traditional craft with the passion for a totally custom approach. Serena earned its reputation in top level framebuilding by hand-built meticulous and craftsman’s attention to detail. Serena made some really excellent bikes. He was he responsible for some great Battaglin bikes of Carrera Jeans and gave advice on the geometry of Dancelli frames and some special time trial aerodynamic steel bikes. Visentini won the Giro d’Italia 1986 on one of his bikes as well.
Here we are presenting another Italian vintage racing machine SERENA Strada Super Record which dates back to 1980-81 and shines in original condition. Superb frameset is made of Columbus SL tubing, build with Campagnolo Super Record groupset (with pantograph chainring and seatpost), Fir wheels, Cinelli Serena pantograph stem and San Marco Concor Supercorsa saddle.
Nice catch for every bike collector. L’Eroica ready.
