PINARELLO Montello Aero SLX Cromovelato, Campagnolo Super Record, 56cm (1984/85) – SOLD

Giovanni Pinarello was born in Catena di Villorba, Italy in 1922. He was the eighth of 12 brothers. At the age of fifteen, Giovanni began making bicycles at the factory of Paglianti. After a successful amateur career he turned professional in 1947. After his carrer, in 1952 he founded Cicli Pinarello S.p.A. in Treviso, Italy.

The Pinarello Montello SLX was a landmark model for Pinarello and was the frame with which Pinarello achieved their first major pro victories such as the 1984 Olympics Road Race, Vuelta a España, the Giro d’Italia and stages of the Tour de France. It was available in red, blue and Spumoni green color option.

Happy to present another amazing looking steel beauty from mid 1980s – Pinarello Montello Aero Cromovelato. Superb frameset is build of Columbus SLX butted tubing with Pinarello’s special designed bottom bracket and shines in stunning Cromovelato  blue paintjob. It’s easily to detect  beautiful Pinarello deatils appeared in many locations like fork crown, lugs, bottom bracket, seat clamp, front derailleur braze-on, rear brake bridge. By no surprise, it’s built with top of the line Campagnolo Super Record groupset with Pinarello pantograph chainring, seatpost and shifters. 3ttt Pinarello stem and hanldebart, Mavic GP4 rims. No much words needed.
