PINARELLO Columbus Air, Campagnolo Super Record, 53cm (mid 1980s) – SOLD

Giovanni Pinarello was born in Catena di Villorba, Italy in 1922. He was the eighth of 12 brothers. At the age of fifteen, Giovanni began making bicycles at the factory of Paglianti. After a successful amateur career he turned professional in 1947. After his carrer, in 1952 he founded Cicli Pinarello S.p.A. in Treviso, Italy.

Happy to present another amazing looking steel beauty from mid 1980s – Pinarello Air. Superb frameset is build of oval Columbus Air tubing, welded with standard Pinarello’s rounded lugs, shinning in beautiful metallic paintjob. It’s easily to detect  beautiful Pinarello deatils appeared in many locations like fork crown, lugs, bottom bracket, seat clamp, front derailleur braze-on, rear brake bridge. By no surprise, it’s built with top of the line Campagnolo Super Record groupset (pat.84) with Pinarello pantograph shifters, Cinelli Pinarello cockpit, NiSi rims, San Marco Rolls saddle makes it perfect in every single detail. No much words needed.
