PASSONI Nova Titanio Shimano Dura Ace 7700, 52cm (2001) – SOLD

PASSONI is a small custom frame building company based just outside Milan, Italy. Luciano Passoni started building frames in 1989 incorporating bike fitting and bio-mechanics from the beginning as he realised that his ambition to build bicycle frames started with a bike fit. This is a company that only has built less than one frame a day from highest-quality titanium and stainless steel. The history of Passoni reads something like a classical Italian Opera with serendipity, family and romance as well as tragedy at the heart of the story. The importance of all this history however, is the passion it creates at the heart of the company and this is something Passoni has a wealth of.

Passoni

Luciano Passoni

There is no escaping from the fact that Passoni’s are very expensive bikes. Rarely does a Passoni leave the workshop with anything less than the best build kit and once this is factored into the price, there is little chance of getting it in under €10,000. It takes three days to polish a titanium frame to achieve the renowned smooth welds of a Passoni. A truly artisan ride.

But Passoni is about something more, about appreciating a beautiful object as well as thoroughbred racing machine. Owning one is about knowing that the geometry is carefully made to fit your body and that the frame has been handcrafted by some of the finest in the bike business. Simply, you will not get that from a stock size S-Works, or even a Lightweight Urgestalt. You will not get that with any frame that is mass-produced in Asia.

Here we are proudly presenting another vintage Passoni. Vintage Passoni is pretty hard to find and own, but this is a dream for almost every bike collector – PASSONI Nova which dates back to 2000/2001. Stunning frame is made of a mix of external butted Easton SC7000 Scandium triangle, titanium stay carbon forks, Passoni titanium seatpost, Shimano Dura Ace 9s groupset, Mavic SSC wheels, ITM Millenium cockpit all in very good condition.

Ready to ride. Fair price.
