Cycles Gitane was founded by Marcel Bruneliere in 1925 in Machecoul, France. Gitane became famous in the late 1950s when Jacques Anquetil took three of his five victories in the Tour de France on Gitane bikes. Gitane was connected to legendary cyclings super heroes Jacques Anquetil, Lucien VanImpe,  Bernard Hinault, Laurent Fignon and Greg LeMond winning a total of 12 Tour de Frances. During the company heyday in the 1970s and 1980s Gitane created some of the most technologically advanced racing bikes.

Here we are proudly offering one of the  – 1987 GITANE SC used by Eric Boyer of Team Systeme U.  Superb frame is made of Reynolds 753 tubing, Cinelli bottom bracket, shinning in original paint, built with Campagnolo C-Record Delta groupset, Cinelli stem and handlebar. No much words needed.
