GIANNI MOTTA Personal Crono 24″/28″, Campagnolo Super Record (mid 1980s) – SOLD

Gianni Motta (born 13 March 1943) is an Italian famous cycling champion who won the 1966 Giro d’Italia. After his successful career, he turned to building top class bicycles that lived up to their name. These bicycles are famous for their elegance, stiffness and efficient power transmission. The top of the line model was called ‘Personal’. The bike we present here is one of them – More than a bicycle, simply a piece of art.

Gianni Motta Linea MD was first United States professional cycling team participation in a Grand Tour, they participated at the Giro d’Italia 1984. The team was managed by female Robin Morton,  first woman ever to own and manage a men’s professional team. Team was sponsored by bike manufacturer Gianni Motta and Linea MD (Swiss furniture company). They have a solid riders on board: US Champion J.Eustice, K.Maxon, M.Carter, R.Weber… They rode Gianni Motta racing bike and one of their bikes came to our store.

Here we are proudly presenting extraordinary mid 1980s Italian racing machine – GIANNI MOTTA Personal Crono 24″/28″ .  Superb frameset is made of Columbus SL tubing, equipped with Campagnolo Super Record groupset, Ambrosio Logos rear disc wheel, Universal Aer brakes and levers, 3ttt Gianni Motta stem and handlebar.
