COLNAGO Carbitubo Krono Italia 24″/28″, 4×100 km team time trial bike (1993) – SOLD

Ernesto Colnago was born on February 9, 1932 in Cambiago, near Milan, Italy. At age 13 he entered in world of two wheels and immediately he fall in love with bikes and cyclingIn 1952 he founded Colnago and started to work as mechanic for several professional teams. His first big success as a frame builder dates back in 1960 when Luigi  Arienti won gold medal at the Rome Olympic games. Colnago’s bikes still have a domination of the world’s cycling sports because Ernesto was always an innovator and pioneer of new technologies which supposedly providek more efficency or comfortColnago has always been one of the most innovative manufactures of all time.

COLNAGO Carbitubo Krono 24/28 was made only for Italian national 4x100km team time trial squad (Brasi, Contri, Fina, Salvato), which won the gold medal at the 1993 World Championship in Oslo, Norway. About 6-8 bikes were made , one is at the Colnago Hall of fame museum in Italy. And another came to our store.

Happy to offer this outstanding milestone from Cambiago – Colnago Carbutibo Krono Italia. The bike was used by Italian National Team during 1993 season and was one of the fastest bikee back then. Full aerodynamic approach with very aggressive time trial position. 24″ wheel at the front, 28″ Campagnolo fulll disc at the back, Campagnolo C Record 8s groupset with Cobalto brakes…
