COLNAGO C40 Lampre Daikin Team – authentic bike of Oscar CAMENZIND (1999)

Ernesto Colnago was born on February 9, 1932 in Cambiago, near Milan, Italy. At age 13 he entered in world of two wheels and immediately he fall in love with bikes and cycling. In 1952 he founded Colnago and started to work as mechanic for several professional teams. Colnago’s bikes still have a domination of the world’s cycling sports because Ernesto was always an innovator and pioneer of new technologies which supposedly provide more efficency or comfort.

Oscar Camenzind was born 12 September 1971 in Switzerland. He won 1997 National road championship and 1998 World Championship ana Il Lombardia while riding for Mapei Team (in 2000 he won Tour de Suisse and Liege – Bastogne -Liege in 2001). In 1999 he moved to Lampre Daikin Colnago Team and with the rainbow jersey he was a biggest star of the team. The team included many famous riders like F.Ballerini, R.Hunter, P.Padrnos, M.Pinotti, J.Svorada and the entire were using COLNAGO Dream bikes.

Here we are proudly presenting Oscar Camenzind‘s raicng bike from 1999. He started the season on aluminium COLNAGO Dream with steel forks. After the spring he switched to Colnago C40 we are presenting here. The bike is shining in beautiful Lampre Daikin Colnago Team paint scheme, built with original Campagnolo Record Titanium 9s groupset, original ITM stem and handlebar, titanium seatpost and San Marco Concor Ti saddle. Stunning racing machine ridden by current world champion in amazing condition. No extra words needed.
