BIANCHI Titanio Reparto Corse – bike of B.Riis (Team Gewiss 1995) – SOLD

Bianchi is the world’s oldest bicycle-making company still in existence, founded in 1885 by Eduardo Bianchi in Milan, Italy. No doubt, Bianchi is the pioneer of bicycle development since the beginning. They invented equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires in 1895, first bicycle ever featuring a cardan joint transmission in 1901 and front brake system in 1913.

Bianchi’s Reparto Corse (Bianchi’s Race Department) facility hand built frames for their top riders and Team Gewiss was sponsored by Bianchi back in 1995-96 seasons. Team Gewiss Playbus was winning with Bianchi’s top-end model, the ” Ti-Mega ” which is made of lightweight 3AL-2.5V titanium tubeset. The titanium was the most exclusive material back then, even some riders already rode full carbon bikes.

Team Gewiss Ballam was one of the best team back in 1995. Riders like E.Berzin, B.Riis, S.Zanini, I.Gotti, G.Colombo, N.Minali achieved some big results on Bianchi Mega Titanium bike.

Bjarne Riis (Team Gewiss 1995)

Proudly presenting another Italian titanium masterpiece – Bianchi Ti-Mega Titanium Reparto Corse which dates back to 1995. Superb frame is made of superlight titanium 3AL-2,5V tubeset, shinning in original celeste paint. Only best of the best parts are good enough for such an amazing frameset: Campagnolo Record 8s groupset, Campagnolo Shamal wheels, Flite Titanium saddle, ITM Titanium stem. A bike with a soul that brings back mid 1990s memories.

Titanium masterpiece. Nice catch for any Bianchi collector.
