BIANCHI Proto Reparto Corse Campagnolo C-Record, 58cm (1989) – SOLD

Description

Bianchi is the world’s oldest bicycle-making company still in existence, founded in 1885 by Eduardo Bianchi in Milan, Italy. No doubt, Bianchi is the pioneer of bicycle development since the beginning. They invented equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires in 1895, first bicycle ever featuring a cardan joint transmission in 1901 and front brake system in 1913.

Some say the Bianchi Proto is the most perfect steel racing bike. For the dedicated Bianchi collector, the Bianchi Proto is high on the list of must have bikes. Bianchi produced the Proto in years between 1988 and 1992, as a development of the “X4”. The Proto was constructed from Columbus MAX tubing, known as the best choice for professional racing back then.

Proudly presenting one of the most desirable Bianchi‘s racing machine, the Proto MAX, made by Bianchi’s Reparto Corse department back in late 1980s. Extraordinary frameset is made of Columbus MAX tubing, built with superb Campagnolo C Record groupset, iconic Delta brakes, 3ttt Bianchi cockpit with Almarc leather bar wrap, Selle Italia Turbo saddle, Mavic rims. No much words needed.

Iconic and very collectible.
