PINARELLO Treviso (1970s) – SOLD

Description

Giovanni Pinarello was born in Catena di Villorba, Italy in 1922. He was the eighth of 12 brothers. At the age of fifteen, Giovanni began making bicycles at the factory of Paglianti. After a successful amateur career he turned professional in 1947. After his carrer, in 1952 he founded Cicli PinarelloS.p.A. in Treviso, Italy.

The Pinarello Treviso was a landmark model for Pinarello and was the frame with which Pinarello developed other very famous modes such as Record Special, Montello and Gavia. In 1975, Pinarello enjoys its first Giro d’Italia victory, opening a decades of great satisfaction with victories such as the 1984 Olympics Road Race, Vuelta a España, the Giro d’Italia and stages of the Tour de France.

Happy to present another steel racing machine from 1970s, the ” Pinarello Treviso ”  made of of Columbus SL tubing. It’s easily to detect  beautiful deatils such as Pinarello head badge, GPT engravings on the fork crown and seatstay. Like all our bikes also this one equiped  with top of the line Campagnolo Record groupset, Mavic tubular wheelset, 3ttt Pinarello pantograph cockpit and San Marco Concor saddle.

For all Pinarello lovers. Great catch for a fair price. Ready for any historic cycling event.

Condition: Used, but good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bend. Some touch-ups and signs of normal use.  Groupset is in good condition. All parts are working fine.
